Financing Water and Sanitation Services:

Options and Constraints

The Conference will be targeted to authorities from central and municipal governments, service providers from the public and private sectors, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that supply potable water and sanitation services to rural communities and peri-urban areas, representatives from the major multinational firms working in the sector, and public and private financial institutions.

 


Panelists - Experiences

The Conference will be organized in two roundtable and four panel discussion sessions. In the roundtable sessions, experts will provide their opinions on the main issues facing the sector and their possible solutions, the experiences and opinions of participants will be shared and gathered during the panel discussions.  

The Bank issued a call for proposals to those interested in presenting their experiences during the conference. Forty-two proposals were received by the October 1, 2003 deadline. The Bank would like to thanks all those who sent proposals. An Selection Panel will choose ten cases, which will be presented in each of the four panels. A list of all the proposals will be published in this web site very soon.
