Health and HIV/AIDS

The Social Development Division's activities in the health sector are intended to contribute to the improvement of public health in the region through the identification of epidemiological and technological trends; the introduction of new health management methodologies; and the dissemination of scientific information on health policy and programs to assist the public decision-making process. Activities in the health sector are channeled through the operational structures of the Bank and through coordination with other international (multilateral and bilateral) organizations active in the sector.
