The Role of Law and Legal Institutions in Combating Social Exclusion in Latin American Countires


This paper examines the role of law in combating patterns of social exclusion and disadvantage that deny Afro-Americans equal opportunities in Latin American societies. The paper focuses on six nations, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Honduras and Nicaragua, although some of the paper's observations and conclusions will also be applicable to other nations
