Implemented and Ongoing 1-to-1 Computing Experiences

Experiences in Latin America and the Caribbean:

• Brazil: Pilot implemented at the Bradesco Foundation School in Campinas, SP. Forty-six Intel based-classmate PCs were allocated for student use along with Ultra Mobile PCs (UMPCs) for each of the five participating teachers

• Brazil: Pilot Project, Projeto UCA - Um Computador por Aluno (Videos)

• Costa Rica: A One-to-One Computing Experience in "El Silencio" school in a rural area of Costa Rica, by Fundación Omar Dengo (Video)

•  Chile: Tecnología Portátil en la Sala de Clases

• Guatemala: "Abriendo Futuro" Program, a strategy of technology integration into education starting with a one-laptop-per-teacher model.

    USA:

•  Maine Learning Technology Initiative in the State of Maine (Video)

• Henrico County Public Schools in the State of Virginia

• Technology Immersion Pilot in the State of Texas

• The King Open School, Cambridge, Massachussetts

    Spain:

• Pilot project carried out by Red.es in 44 schools in 11 regions of Spain (Video)
