Evaluation (Document in Spanish)

The First Phase of the Social Equity Forum, was financed by the governments of Sweden and Norway, and was held between 2000 and 2001. During this period, four meetings were held around four central topics that promotes equity and the inequality reduction in the region: social responsible macroeconomics; the impact of the new economy on the labor markets; the political economy of the social reforms; transparence, responsibility and equity. Furthermore, in this Phase sixteen research papers were produced. These papers supported the debates in the meetings about Social Equity Promotion and Poverty Reduction. Special attention was given to the discussion and exchange of ideas on Good Practices and Lessons learned between the participants. As a result of these meetings, an Evaluation of the First Phase* and a Report of the Results is provided.
