La Superación de la Pobreza: Diálogos Nacionales

Mexico City, 1999

 

In February 15th and 16th of 1999 was held at Mexico City the " National Forum on Poverty Alleviation" organized with the initiative of the Inter-American Development Bank, and with the cooperation of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, the Universidad IberoamericanaSecretaría de Desarrollo Social, the Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público and Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía. At this event attended public functionaries, people from different political parties and different social organizations, entrepreneurs, academics from different disciplines and media representatives. This Forum is a part of a group of National Forums that have the main objective of  i) deepen the poverty and social inequality analysis, and study the instruments that permits alleviate and reduce these two social problems,  ii) support initiatives for the agents, whom inside and outside of the public area, intervenes in each country implementing policies and specific programs and iii) support the exchange of ideas among the region.
