Procurement Policy and Coordination Office
Chief: Rodolfo Hernandez
The Procurement Policy and Coordination Office (ROS/PRM) has the responsibility of ensuring that all policies and procedures applied in the procurement of goods, works, and consulting services financed by the Bank pay due attention to the following principles:
  • economic and efficient use of Bank's resources;
  • that these resources are expended only on those goods, works and consulting services planned for the project;
  • to ensure that the bidding processes provide competition, transparency, equality to all participants.
ROS/PRM is responsible for formulating, interpreting and updating the procurement policies and procedures that apply to all procurement financed by the Bank.

ROS/PRM produces standard bidding documents and supports the development of public procurement policy based on best practices and the eventual use of electronic means for public procurement in borrowing member countries.

PRMs specialists provide advice to project teams and Country Offices personnel on all procurement matters related to the planning and execution of the procurement plan during the execution of the projects. The Chief of ROS/PRM is the Secretary of the Banks Procurement Committee.

PRM offers technical training seminars to Bank and Executing Agencies personnel.
