Sectors of Preference Eligible for financing with resources of this Fund are micro and small enterprise activities, including those carried out in connection with the execution of a global credit program for the sector, small projects and related technical assistance activities.

Preference is given to credit facilities, seed capital, start-up activities, direct investment, technical assistance, development of appropriate technologies for the provision of financial services to micro and small entrepreneurs and all the operations that address the needs and experiences of women.
Objectives The objective of the Fund is to provide financing on a non-reimbursable basis to intermediary organizations that support activities of micro and small enterprises.

Achievements
The Fund financed 6 small projects and their parallel technical cooperation of which one has been completed, four are under way and one has been cancelled. The Fund supported activities related to livestock development as well activities that promote businesses and entrepreneurship by women and young microentrepreneurs.
Small Project Credit Program This project represents a successful case of institutional and financial strengthening of an important Bolivian NGO (Pro Credito) in order to expand its activities of financing and investment in the microenterprise sector.

Throught this project approximately 835 microentrepreneurs received credit and technical assistance. An equally important contribution of the project was the assistance provided in the creation and implementation of a financial institution specialized in microcredit, of which Pro-Credito is the major shareholder.
