IDB E-Alerts will provide the latest news, alerts, and updates from the Inter-American Development Bank delivered directly to your email or mobile device. Subscription to IDB E-Alerts is free and you may unsubscribe or change your preferences at any time. Some e-alert content can be customized from a list of countries or topics of interest.

Choose E-Alert Frequency
As it happens: you receive an e-mail as soon as a new item is posted.
Daily: you receive an e-mail per day, if items you selected were posted.
Weekly: you receive an e-mail per week (on Sunday), if items you selected were posted.
Mobile Text message
Your text messaging e-mail is usually your phone number w/area code (without spaces) @ your provider.com You will have to go to your provider's web site to confirm this information.

Creating and Managing Your Account
Setting Up your IDB E-Alert the First Time
The first screen allows you to view your overall email preferences. You may specify up to two email addresses where you wish to receive notifications. By default, your primary address is the email address you use for your IDB-Alert account login. If you wish to change this address, you need to edit your IDB-Alert Account. You may also set up an alternate address - this can be used for a wireless device (as long as it has an email address), since you can control the format of messages. If you set up both a primary and an alternate address, all notifications you subscribe to will be sent to both addresses.
After you set up or change email addresses, you will receive a confirmation email from the IDB. This prevents someone from fraudulently using your email address. The nextstep is to select the notification services you wish to subscribe to, and customize them if needed (see below for options).
Set up IDB E-Alerts.
If you already have an IDB E-Alert account, simply log in and start setting your preferences for the service you selected. If you don't have an account, you'll be prompted to create one, then you can start using the service.
View the list of E-Alerts on your account.
Enter email address and choose a password.
Your account will be created and you can immediately start using the service you selected. You'll receive a confirmation by email of your account.
Updating Your Account Information
You may update your account information at any time. First, log in, then select the link to "Edit My Account". You may edit your email address, password, or any of the optional information. If you change your email address you will need to confirm the new address by responding to the confirmation email from IDB-Alert.
Changing E-Alerts Preferences (Returning Users)
If you've already set up E-Alerts, you can return at any time to change your preferences. You'll see a menu screen that gives you the options of changing your email addresses, changing E-Alerts preferences, and managing your email reminders. Select what you would like to do from the menu.
If you can't remember your password, just click the "lost password" link below the login area. You'll be prompted to provide your e-mail and if your email address match your account, you'll be immediately will be sent a new password to the e-mail on file. You can change your password at any time by editing your account information (see below).
Unable to Log In
If you're having trouble logging in to an IDB-Alerts service, read the following tips.
First, be sure you are entering the correct email address and password to log in. See above if you've lost your password. Be sure that your Caps Lock is not on (on your keyboard) when typing in your password.
