Scholarships

Registration

The purpose of offering scholarships every year is to provide an incentive to individuals who are beginning their careers in CSR to attend this Conference so they can network with other organizations in the region and expose themselves to current CSR movements. We consider it the Conference's contribution towards the dissemination of CSR.

As is customary every year, scholarships will be offered for individuals who would like to attend the conference, but need financial assistance to do so. Full scholarships cover board and travel to Colombia (from the capital city of the country of origin of applicant) as well as the registration fee; tuition scholarships cover only the registration fee. Depending on the point of origin of the applicant and the quality of his/her application, full or partial scholarships will be given. The scholarship program is now closed.

Eligibility criteria

You are eligible* only if you are:

• a post-graduate student specializing in the field and/or
• working for a non profit or civil society organization or government office which is involved in CSR;
• between the ages of 21 and 35.

*Eligible applicants do not include those who benefited from our scholarships to attend the previous Inter-American Conferences (Miami 2002, Panama 2003, Mexico 2004, Chile 2005, Salvador 2006 and Guatemala 2007). In order to expand our disseminating efforts we have opened scholarships to citizens of any country.

Process

A committee reviews all applications. Scholarships awarded will have complied with the requirements as well as the need to ensure national, regional and sectoral balance. Your application will be rejected if it does not conform to all of the above-mentioned requirements. You will be contacted by October 24 ONLY IF YOU HAVE WON A SCHOLARSHIP.
