Moody's Analytics State Forecasts Database is now available to IDB via FHL. This is a fully specified U.S. States Economic Forecasting Model, which:
- Includes over 110 variables at the state level and also includes forecasts for Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands
- Includes data on employment, income, demographics, construction activity, home prices, banking, and credit quality
- Is updated monthly, has a quarterly periodicity and 30-year forecast horizon
- Offers alternative scenarios

The FHL Library is pleased to announce the launch of OECD's new interface OECD iLibrary (replacing SourceOECD). The OECD iLibrary offers seamless and comprehensive access to statistical data, books, journals and working papers. OECD iLibrary hosts all content equally so you can find - and cite - tables and databases as easily as articles or chapters with integrated results lists, showing all available file formats (PDF, HTML, XLS). OECD iLibrary offers searches by country or theme and data available as ready-made, downloadable tables or in databases for users to build and extract their own tables.

The FHL Library is pleased to announce its online subscription to The Lancet. Founded in 1823, The Lancet is one of the world's leading medical journals. It publishes medical news, original research, and reviews on all aspects of clinical medicine and public health. The Lancet is independent (without affiliation to any medical or scientific organization) and global in scope. Researchers, practitioners - anyone within the health professions will find something of interest at The Lancet online journal.

The World Urbanization Prospects published by the United Nations, has released its 2009 revision. This resource provides the following services:

WCY Online compiles the data from the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook (WCY), which ranks and analyzes the ability of nations to create and sustain the competitiveness of its enterprises. The database covers 57 countries, including Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela. Its criteria are grouped in 4 main categories: economic performance, government efficiency, business efficiency, and infrastructure.

World Telecommunication/ICT Indicators Database contains time series data for the years 1960, 1965, 1970 and annually from 1975-2008 for around 100 sets of telecommunication statistics (updated) covering telephone network size and dimension, mobile services, quality of service, traffic, staff, tariffs, revenue and investment. Data for 2008 are available for selected indicators such as fixed telephone lines in operation, mobile cellular subscriptions, internet users and internet subscribers. This database cover data for over 200 economies are available. Notes explaining data exceptions are also included. The data are collected from an annual questionnaire sent out by the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the ITU. Additional data are obtained from reports provided by telecommunication ministries, regulators and operators and from ITU staff reports. In some cases, estimates are made by ITU staff; these are noted in the database. This tool is available in one of the public computers in the Library. 22 April 2009 - Felipe Herrera Library is Moving

The Felipe Herrera Library will be moving to the renovated facility. Beginning April 27, 2009 and for the duration of the move, limited services will be offered. Basic circulation, document delivery and inter-library loan services, (whenever possible) will be provided. Other services including CIPs, bibliographic services, new acquisitions will be temporarily suspended.
We apologize for any inconvenience this could cause and want to assure you that every effort is being made to resume full service in the shortest possible time. We shall invite you to come in for a visit once we are settled. We also look forward to seeing you in our beautifully renovated facility and continue making use of our services. |

CEPR's research on development economics, financial economics, international macroeconomics, international trade and regional economics, labour economics and public policy, is conducted by a network of over 700 researchers who retain their academic bases. The Centre helps these Fellows and Affiliates develop and obtain funding for research, administer and execute these projects and disseminate the results of the research. Discussion Papers disseminate research quickly in order to generate comment and suggestions for revision or improvement. They may have been presented at conferences or workshops already, but will not yet have been published in journals. Over 3000 Discussion Paper Abstracts are currently available online and all Discussion Papers published since the beginning of 1999 are available as PDF files. Bankscope is a database containing bank reports from 23.000 public and private banks with up to 16 years of financial information. This information is compiled predominantly from the filed balance sheet and income statement from the audited annual reports. The service also provides ratings (Fitch, Moody’s, Standard and Poor’s and Capital Intelligence), country risk reports (EUI) and news. To access, go to “Database AZ List” and click the Bankscope link. A special username/password is required to start your registration.
