To uninstall the Firefox version of FHL LibX, go to the main Firefox menu and select "Tools" then select "Add-on" and use the "uninstall" button. You will have to restart Firefox to complete the uninstall.
To uninstall the Explorer version, use the Windows Control Panel and follow the same steps you would take to uninstall a Windows program. Look for "LibX for IE" in your list of installed programs.

Use to add a new search box and construct advanced searches combining terms. The options are : Keyword, Title, Author and Subject. Click to remove boxes.

Note for Internet Explorer users: when using the button, Keyword is set as the default. You can click over Keyword to select other options (Title, Author or Subject).

LibX uses Google Scholar to search for articles and through the Journal Locator links to the journal title to which our library subscribes. Select a citation (even from inside a PDF file) Drag and drop it onto the Google Scholar button in the upper-right corner of the toolbar.

The FHL Toolbar places links in web pages you visit, i.e. Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com, Google, Yahoo! Search, the NY Times Book Review, and others. Whenever you see ... Click on the to do the same search in the Library Catalog. (In sites like Amazon.com, you must click on the title of the book, before the link appears. After a search on the Barnes & Noble website for example, click on the book you are interested in)

Highlight any text on the screen (title, description, etc) and right click. (You will see a list of options to search the FHL Catalog. From there you can check the FHL Catalog for any material that contains the highlighted text in its description).

If you found the identifying number for a book (ISBN) or journal (ISSN), LibX will underline the number for you (in some sites). Click this link to check the availability of the title in our library.
