Database Info: MECOVI - Households Survey Databank

Description The Household Surveys Databank from the Inter-American Development Bank is a key element of the Program for the Improvement of Surveys and the Measurement of Living Conditions in Latin America and the Caribbean (MECOVI). The MECOVI Household Surveys Databank permits users to access household surveys databases, manuals, questionnaires, and other documents. It includes links to network folders containing the original databases of microdata of each survey. This website is permanently updated, currently has information for 430 surveys for 25 countries from 1979 to 2006. Information on Social Indicators calculated based on data from MECOVI Household Surveys Databank can be found in our webpage on Equity and Social Indicators (EQxIS). Due to restrictions that some national governments impose on the use of the information contained within the Databank, it is only available in the intranet and is for exclusive access to the staff of the Inter-American Development Bank. Under no circumstances information of the MECOVI Household Surveys Databank should be shared with people outside the IDB without previously consulting to the MECOVI Program Coordinator (joseam, ext. 3713).
