Loan policy
Books are generally loaned for two weeks and can be renewed unless requested by another reader. Some items from the Reference Collection can be borrowed for the day and some of them must be used in the Law Library Reference Area. Although Periodicals are not available for loan, they do circulate - contact us if you want to be included in our routing list. The Law Library also participates in an interlibrary loan system that allows us to borrow books and journals from other libraries in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and throughout the United States. If you are looking for something not available in our collection, please, contact us.
Visitor Policy
The Law Library welcomes researchers in the DC area on an appointment basis only. Visitors must register with the Law Library Staff well in advance of their desired visit by e-mailling us (lawlibrary@iadb.org). Library materials may be used on-site only. No books are lent unless you bring an inter-library loan request from a participating institution in the interlibrary loan system.
