The INTEGRATION AND REGIONAL PROGRAMS DEPARTMENT is responsible for the preparation and monitoring of regional programming and the dissemination of information on integration processes.
  • Carries out and monitors regional programming.
  • Analyzes and provides support for the process of regional and hemispheric integration and offers guidance as to the Bank's activities and policies in those areas.
  • Manages the regional technical cooperation program and oversees its execution, ensuring adherence to the conditions approved.
  • Manages the activities of the Inter-American Institute for Social Development (INDES).
  • Takes part in reviews of technical cooperation programs.
  • Supervises the activities of the Institute for Latin American Integration (INTAL).
  • Directs the activities of the Felipe Herrera Library.
  • Manages the Japan Program, including The East Asia Latin America Customs Best Practices Program.
  • Oversees the Bank's Japan-IDB Scholarship Program and Regional Scholarship Program.
