The “Greening the IDB” initiative was developed to facilitate a reduction in the environmental and social “footprint” or negative impacts of the IDB headquarters and country office locations and facilities, and increase awareness on environmental and social sustainability issues in the work place, focusing on encouraging staff to understand the value of their own responsibility.
