The Funding Section raises funds in the international capital markets and manages the Discount Note Program to support the IDB's lending activities; and conducts the IDB's liability management operations. The Investments Section invests the liquid asset portfolio of the IDB. The Client Service Section's main responsibility is the development and delivery of the Banks financial products to borrowers, including risk management products, such as local currency financing. The Treasury Operations Section forecasts and manages the Bank's cash flows; settles and services all the Funding and Investments Sections' activities; performs the Investment and Funding Portfolios valuations (mark-to-market); and develops and maintains the external financial operations relations of the Bank.
