The number of children living and working on the streets of Jamaica is on the rise. Although the majority of these children are located around the urban centers of Kingston and Spanish Town, other children gravitate to the more secluded tourist areas of the island.

Of the many projects and programs currently operating in Jamaica, Children First is one of the country's largest NGOs working with children who seek the streets. The project 's integrative approach works with the child, in conjunction with the family, the school and the community.
