The offices of the Meeting Secretariat in Fortaleza will open on 4 March 2002. All communications, however, should be sent to Washington, D.C., for retransmission to Fortaleza.
Distribution of documents and speeches
At registration, each participant will receive a full set of the documents published up to that time. Speeches and other meeting documents will be made available as soon as they are published. Governors who wish to obtain additional sets of documents may do so using a special request form; the additional sets may be either delivered to them at the close of the meeting or mailed to their home countries.
Governors who wish to present an address at one of the plenary sessions are requested to provide the Documentation Service with the text of their speech as early as possible to allow for prompt distribution.
Other services
Mail
Participants should have their mail addressed to them at their hotels. In case of emergency, however, any urgent communication the Bank receives will be forwarded to the addressee provided the Secretariat has been advised of the hotel where the person is staying.
Simultaneous interpretation
Simultaneous interpretation into English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish will be provided during the sessions.

The Press Room will begin operation on Thursday, 7 March, in Section F, second level.
Members of the press are to register at the registration desk located at the main entrance.
Journalists may pick up press passes for the meeting upon presentation of press credentials (with photograph) or a letter from their news service stating that they have been assigned to cover the meeting, according to the following schedule:
Wednesday, 6 March 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, 7 March 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Friday, 8 March 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, 9 March 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Sunday, 10 March 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Monday, 11 March 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Health unit
An emergency health unit will be set up in the Convention Center. Also, all hotels have a designated doctor on call.
Emergency ambulance service will be available at all times by contacting the hotel telephone operators.
Postal and long-distance telephone services
Postal and long-distance telephone services will be available to participants at the Convention Center. Participants will be charged for these services, at regular rates.
Airline and tourist information
Airline and tourist information services will be available in the Convention Center.
Local transportation
The Government of Brazil will provide transportation for participants between the Pinto Martins international airport and the official hotels and from the hotels to the Convention Center and to all the official events of the meeting.
