In 2003, the IDB and the OECD Competition Division, working together to promote effective competition law and policy in Latin America, launched the Latin American Competition Forum (LACF), with the objective of enhancing the role of competition in Latin American economies by promoting dialogue, consensus building and networking among policy makers of the region.

Since 2003, the IDB annual Report on Economic and Social Progress in Latin America is being regularly presented in different institutions over Europe.
