OBJECTIVES
At the initiative of the Bank and the OECD, Latin American Competition Authorities have met once a year, beginning in 2003, at the Latin American Competition Forum, which promotes dialogue, consensus building and networking among policy-makers. The forums identify and disseminate best practices in competition law and policy with the emphasis on sharing experiences. Participants in the annual forums are primarily senior officials of Latin American and Caribbean competition authorities. Latin American officials from other agencies, such as sector regulators, also attend. Experts from multilateral agencies and from outside Latin America are also invited to provide a different perspective and to convey their experience with particular issues.
