The IDB Research & Knowledge Department publishes annually a thematically-focused comparative socioeconomic analysis of the countries of the region: The Economic and Social Progress Report (IPES). For many years, SOE has contributed to the dissemination of this publication of reference throughout Europe, generating debates and exchanging experiences and cross-standpoints. More recently, SOE has also directly contributed to the inclusion of research findings by notable European specialists on the main social development issues in the preparation of the IPES reports.
Past year editions includes: “Living with Debt - How to Limit the Risks of Sovereign Finance” (IPES 2007); “The politics of the policies” (IPES 2006); “Unlocking Credit: The Quest for Deep and Stable Bank Lending” (IPES 2005); “Good Jobs Wanted. Labor Markets in Latin America” (IPES 2004); “Beyond Borders. The New Regionalism in Latin America” (IPES 2002).
