| In coordination with headquarters, SOE organizes seminars and missions to present to European entrepreneurs the business opportunities generated by IDB and IIC projects and activities. The briefings provide companies and consultants with information and guidance on how to do business with the Bank. They describe Bank activity by sector, explaining procurement rules and bidding procedures and outlining the activities of the IDB Group in promoting the private sector.
More generally speaking, SOE pays a special attention to the mainstreaming of issues of business community interest throughout all its networking, research and outreach activities. Topics such as macroeconomic panorama, financing private sector development, investment, infrastructure initiatives, corporate social responsibility, energy or economic governance, among others, are frequently tackled.
