SCIENCES PO - MERCOSUR CHAIR
The Bank supports the Mercosur Chair at Sciences Po, which is the core of a research network that analyzes and discusses the issues and characteristics of the countries of Mercosur and their neighboring associate member states.  The Chair serves as a point of information and contact among members of the business community, negotiators and civil society, and it provides a flexible structure of working contacts between the Mercosur and the European Union. In this framework, SOE has co-sponsored several conferences and annual seminars of the Chair in Paris and Latin America with focuses on interrelation of multilateral and bi-regional trade negotiations or the question of how domestic issues affect trade policy choices and foreign trade strategies in several Latin American countries and how they interact with a given external environment.
