SOE has been particularly active for many years in promoting researches and debates on Regional Integration, Trade and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) issues, with a view of disseminating European experiences among policy makers and researchers within the Region and the Bank. Accordingly, in collaboration with the Integration and Regional Programs Department, the Institute for Integration in Latin America (INTAL) and the Department for Sustainable Development, SOE is supporting the following main programs:
- Euro Latin Study Network on Integration and Trade (ELSNIT);
- Inter-institutional cooperation with the World Trade Organization and Joint programs with the Centre d'Etudes Prospectives et d'Informations Internationales (CEPII) and the Working Group on EU-Mercosur Negotiations of the Mercosur Chair;
- Special initiatives and studies on European Direct Investments.
