OBJECTIVES
Launched in 2003, the Euro-Latin-American Network on Governance for Development (REDGOB) has created in Europe a forum on governance, public policies and development issues relevant to Latin America and the Caribbean that acts as a bridge between policy-makers and academics from Europe and Latin America. REDGOB promotes studies and debates on the issue of governance, among European and Latin American research centers and increases and disseminates relevant knowledge among the participants in international cooperation, including governments, civil society and the private sector.
NETWORK ORGANIZATION AND PROGRAM
REDGOB is directed by a Steering Committee. Besides representatives of the Bank, this includes the Oxford University (United Kingdom); the Center for Latin American Studies of Hamburg, IIK (Germany); the International Institute for Governability of Catalonia and the University of Salamanca (Spain); the Institute of Political Studies, Sciences-Po Paris (France) and the Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance, IDEA (Sweden). The network counts with almost 40 member institutions from Europe and Latin America renowned for their competencies in research and public policy assessment.
