SOE and DEMOCRATIC GOVERNABILITY

The IDB’s development effort takes an integrated approach that includes support for modernization of the state and the strengthening of democratic institutions and civil society. Good governance is the foundation for achieving the Bank’s overarching goals of poverty reduction and inclusive growth. To emphasize its importance and to assure its stature in the development agenda, SOE has launched a diversified set of initiatives, the most significant of which is the Euro-Latin-American Network on Governance for Development (REDGOB).
