Call for Papers
The Inter-American
Initiative on Social Capital, Ethics and Development of the
IDB encourages parties interested in presenting research work
and experiences in volunteerism and social enterprise to send
a proposal for consideration.
The
proposal should summarize the research work or experience
related to the topics covered in the International Seminar,
“Latin American and Caribbean Social Capital
in Action: Young Entrepreneurs and Volunteerism.”
These will include: university volunteerism, social enterprise,
example experiences in volunteerism, and projects or tools
for promoting volunteerism. Further information on the conference
is available online at http://www.iadb.org/ethics.
Authors
of selected papers will have the opportunity to present them
at one of the workshops during the conference. Presenters
will be given 15 minutes for their presentations.
Selected
authors will be given advance notice and have the chance to
accept or refuse participation. Final papers will be distributed
through the website of the Inter-American Initiative on Social
Capital, Ethics and Development.
Proposals
should be sent via electronic mail to voluntariad@iadb.org
in MS Word or PDF format and accompanied by the curriculum
vitae of the author(s). The deadline for submission
of proposals is February 16, 2004.
The
IDB reserves the right to cancel the event without prior notice
