International Forum on the New Educational Agenda: Ethics for Development and University Social Responsibility

Continuing its series of activities oriented to promoting Social Responsibility among Universities, and within the working plan of its Ethics and Social Capital University Network (RED), the Inter-American Initiative on Social Capital, Ethics and Development (IDB - Government of Norway) is organizing in collaboration with Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Mexico, the “International Forum on the New Educational Agenda: Ethics for Development and University Social Responsibility”.
The event will be held on Tuesday, March 8th, 2005, at the University Library “Raúl Rangél Frías”, Parque Niños Héroes, Monterrey, Nuevo León, México.
The meeting is supported by the National Association of Universities and Superior Educational Institutions (ANUIES) of Mexico and is oriented in promoting a debate among university representatives on different strategies related to the inclusion of ethics and development and university social responsibility.
The event, will consists of an opening conference by the General Coordinator of the Inter-American Initiative on Social Capital, Ethics and Development, Bernardo Kliksberg, a panel with presidents from different universities and businessmen, and an interactive workshop moderated by specialists on education reform and ethics for development.
