Sectoral Strategic Plans
Under the Water and Sanitation Initiative, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has prepared Sectoral Strategic Plans (SSP) as part of our dialogue with member countries. The purpose of the SSPs is to determine priority areas for the development of the water and sanitation, water resources and solid waste sectors within each country, through the identification of a set of actions tailored to local conditions, policies and government programs. The SSPs are a guide for potential interventions by the IDB within each country.
The SSPs have been prepared between the respective governments and IDB staff; however, they do not necessarily represent a full agreement on sectoral issues. The following SSP summaries reflect the most significant elements of each strategy (only available in spanish).
