Sustainability Papers

Each year, the Sustainability Report delivers information regarding IDB’s contributions to sustainability. At the same time the Report also provides insights into key development trends and related sustainability dimensions in Latin America and the Caribbean.

In 2011, in light of the Rio+20 conference, four papers were prepared on sustainability and agriculture in our region. Summaries of these papers are available in the Sustainability Report 2011 and the full versions of these papers are available here:

In 2010, four papers were prepared to look at global trends that are having profound implications for sustainability in our region. These included increased trade with Asia, expanding tropical agriculture, growing cities, and climate change’s effect on Caribbean tourism.
