Public Investment Systems Network

The purpose of this network is for National Public Investment Systems in the Region to have a space for sharing experiences development and future challenges. This group has had two meetings (Panama in 2010 and Dominican Republic in 2011). The Network is headed by a President, three Vice Presidents (representing one region each), and a Technical Secretariat by Asta ILPES / CEPAL, is supported by the World Bank and the IDB.

The topics discussed include: National Public Investment Systems (NPIS) and their contribution to the Development Effectiveness; governance outlook; public investment’s role on performance management; global and multi-annual investment planning; evaluation and financing of public-private initiatives; links between NPIS and the systems used on planning and budget systems and its contribution to development effectiveness, uncertainty incorporation and risk assessments.

Next meeting will be held in 2012.
