Planning Network
We strongly support the concept that there is no MfDR without strategic planning, but at the same time planning is not enough to have an MfDR approach.
Created in April 2010, the Planning Network is a forum for Planning Ministers, Vice-Ministers, Secretaries, Directors or high rank officials with major responsibility in their countries’ national planning process. The Network’s main goal is to have a space where discussions about common problems and challenges, and experience’ sharing can take place as well as the making of the Region’s planning agenda. This Network has held two meetings (Costa Rica in 2010 and Guatemala in2011). It is headed by a president, three Sub-Regional Vice-Presidents (one per Region), and a Technical Committee. This is a joint venture with ECLAC.
The next meeting will be held in 2012.
