Monitoring and Evaluation Network

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) is a tool that still needs further development in most countries in the region. Only few countries have in place an institution with the necessary capacity to evaluate the government’s public policy and programs.

On June 2005, in a joint venture with the World Bank, PRODEV launched the M&E Network. More than 200 high and mid-rank country officials responsible for the monitoring and evaluation processes have been participating in the Network. This cluster allows the analysis of the achievements and difficulties encountered during M&E Systems’ institutionalization of, both at the national and sub-national levels. This is an open group that welcomes all interested people to participate.

This Network has held six annual meetings: Washington, D.C., in 2005 and 2006, Lima in 2007, Bello Horizonte in 2008, Bogota in 2009, Mexico City in 2010 and Santo Domingo in 2011.
