Budgeting for Results Network

We strongly support the concept that there is no MfDR without an oriented results budgeting, but at the same time, a Results-Based Budget (RBB) is not sufficient to have an MfDR approach.

Created in May 2005, the Budgeting for Results Network is a formal forum for budget directors or high rank officials with primary responsibility in the budget process. The Network’s main goal is to have a forum where they can discuss common problems, challenges, and share experiences. More than 60 Finance Vice-Ministers Budget Office participated in the six annual meetings held since its creation. This is a closed group, with an Elected President and two Vice-Presidents.

So far, the Network has organizedseven annual meetings (Washington, D.C. in 2005, 2006, and 2007, Mexico in 2008, Brazil in 2009, Peru in 2010 and Kingston in 2011) and two sub-regional meetings (Costa Rica in 2005 and Barbados in 2009). The next meeting will be held in2012.
