Guilherme Piereck is a Senior Consultant with the Opportunities for the Majority Initiative (OMJ) at the Inter-American Development Bank. Before OMJ he worked for three years with the Integration and Trade Department (INT) developing projects for investment attraction and export promotion. Before that, he worked for more than 15 years in Brazil and in the US, with Veirano Advogados, Tecsis Tecnologia (a wind energy turbine producer)and Wilmer Cutler & Pickering; where he negotiated Mergers and Adquisitions agreements, syndicated loans, acted on tax issues, coordinated due diligence teams, worked on regulatory matters and antitrust, negotiated purchasing agreements for private equity investments, debt restructuring in the energy sector. Guilherme is a lawyer graduated from Pontificia Universidade Católica de Campinas, Brazil(1994). He obtained an LL.M. (masters of laws) at Northwestern University (1999) and a CM (Certificate of Management) with Kellogg School of Management (1999), in Chicago, with a scholarship from Fundação Estudar.
