Ana Luiza Gonçalves Ferreira joined the IDB as a Research Fellow in 2009 to work with OMJ in the analysis and preparation of loan and partial credit guarantee operations, in technical assistance projects, and in outreach initiatives to promote base of the pyramid business models in Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to coming to the IDB, Ana Luiza worked at Citibank in Recife, Brazil. She also worked at the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil for two and half years, where her last position was regional coordinator of the knowledge and advocacy thematic committees. Ana Luiza has a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Georgia, where she was awarded a merit-based full scholarship, and a Bachelor in Business Administration from Universidade de Pernambuco, Brazil.
