Our team - Agustin Zamora
Agustin Zamora Joined the IDB in 2008 as an Investment Officer in the Opportunities for the Majority Initiative to structure, assess, and analyze private sector operations that have a positive impact for low income communities in Latin America and the Caribbean under base of the pyramid (BOP) business models. Before joining the IDB, Agustin worked as an Investment Officer for Corporación Interamericana para el Financiamiento de Infraestructura (CIFI) identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and helping close investments in infrastructure projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. He also served as the Environmental Coordinator at CIFI where among others, successfully accomplished the institution’s adherence to the Equator Principles, an international benchmark for determining, assessing and managing social & environmental risk in project financing. Agustin holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Thunderbird, School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from George Mason University.
