The current IDB-GEF portfolio/pipeline amounts to $118.34 million and includes:

(i) sixteen (16) operations in execution for $55 million plus nine (9) project preparation grants (PPG) approved for $1.94 million, provided by the GEF; and

(ii) thirteen (13) new projects in the pipeline with approved profiles pending inclusion in GEF’s work program or under review by the GEF-SEC for $61.4 million. These GEF grants are co-financing IDB loans and other sources of funding for over $500 million, contributing to mainstreaming environmental investments in sector development loans. The distribution of these resources by strategic GEF focal areas is: Biodiversity (34%), Climate Change and Energy (32%), International Waters (16%), and multi-focal areas combining land degradation, biodiversity, and international waters (18%). In addition, three (3) new projects are under profile preparation to be submitted to the GEF for an amount of $11 million.
