Inequities in Learning

50% vs. 10%

Significant learning inequities are observed among students in Latin America. While almost 50% of the richest third-grade students have satisfactorily acquired the knowledge and skills required for that grade, only 10% of the poorest students have acquired them, according to the results of the Second Regional Comparative and Explanatory Study (SERCE). Results for sixth grade show similar inequities.
