Llama y Vive DC
Llama y Vive DC (Call and Live DC) is a campaign in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area to raise awareness about human trafficking, a present-day form of slavery which has affected this area. The campaign was launched by the IDB-DC Solidarity Program in partnership with the Ricky Martin Foundation, Ayuda and the DC Mayor's Office on Latino Affairs to reach Latinos in the Washington, D.C. area through educational and prevention messages about human trafficking and to provide access to legal and social services for victims through a Spanish-language hotline (1-888-NO-TRATA / 1-888-668-7282). The campaign was modeled after the IDB’s successful social marketing campaign in Latin America and the Caribbean that features Ricky Martin as the spokesperson of all public service announcements and other outreach materials.
