Development Program for Metropolitan Areas Outside of the Capital (DAMI). The program promotes the implementation of innovative management approaches for carrying out programs and projects and by extending services in metropolitan areas of different sizes and degrees of complexity. It has three components: (1) support for strengthening governance of metropolitan areas in the country’s interior, 2) institutional strengthening aimed at supporting the process of consolidating provincial and municipal capacity to address urban problems, and (3) demonstration projects in solving problems that require coordinated action by more than two jurisdictions.
