    Canadian Climate Fund

    Together with the IDB, Canada has established the Canadian Climate Fund for the Private Sector in the Americas. The 250 million-dollar fund will provide businesses much-needed upfront capital and longer payback options for companies investing in solar panels, reforestation, and the initial drilling phase to harness geothermal energy.

    Sun Over Atacama

    Chile responds to growing energy demands by harvesting solar energy from the Atacama Desert. Funded by the IDB's Canadian Fund for Climate Change, the Pozo Almonte project is expected to produce in excess of 60,000 MWh per year.
