Project Description

To enable Banco Pichincha C.A. ("Pichincha") to expand its longer term core loan businesses; including housing finance, and lending to small, medium and micro enterprises "SMEMs". The proposed IDB loan would provide an up to US$50 million senior A loan (the "A Loan") with a tenor of five years. The IDB has invited the IIC to participate in this facility through a participation in the IDB`s A Loan, or a co-financing under the same terms and conditions as the IDB for an amount to be determined by IIC. Furthermore, subject to market demand, the IDB will try to syndicate a senior B loan (the "B Loan") on a best effort basis. It is anticipated that the appetite for B Loan participants will be between US$30 million and US$50 million.
