Preparation

The overall objective of the program is to foster sustainable urban development in the MJP by strengthening planning, urban and public management, as well as through comprehensive and/ or demonstrative interventions for vulnerable families. The specific objectives are: (i) to strengthen urban planning and management tools; (ii) increase access to quality housing, infrastructure and quality urban facilities for vulnerable families; (iii) to improve the quality of life in informal settlements by mitigating socio-environmental risks and improving habitat in projects with potential for replication; and (iv) to increase the efficiency of the management of municipal fiscal resources through the strengthening of administrative procedures, training and modernization of technological equipment.
