The objective of this TC is to generate knowledge that contributes to understand the process of policy design and policy implementation in the area of Citizen Security and Justice, including budget allocation decisions in the different sectors involved. Ultimately, this knowledge would contribute to the better management of citizen security policies of the governments in LAC. Also, this project will enrich and contribute to the knowledge that is being generated in the area of citizen security and justice at the IDB and will add value to the current cluster of projects. Getting to know which are the players involved in the decision process, what their incentives are and what is the coordination process will allow us to provide a better support to governments. This CT is aligned with the GCI-9 sectorial priorities of the Bank, in particular with the public safety sector and the pillar of management and evaluation.
