• Bilateral meetings with Heads of State and Government, IDB Governors, Foreign Ministers and other high-ranking officials, at EU-LAC and Rio Group-CELAC Summits and during missions
• Contributed to the process of identifying potential donors for trust-funds and co-finance of operations.

For instance:

• Sought co-finance for reconstruction projects in Haiti, including education, energy, water and sanitation, SME, and housing sectors.
• Promoted and supported partnerships and resource mobilization for the Bank's Initiative on Reforestation within the framework of the International Conferences on the Major Forest Basins (REDD+ Fast Start Initiative).
• Efforts to mobilize resources for an indigenous peoples and climate change initiative
• The MIF and the EC co-finance the "Carib Cap" Microfinance capacity building initiative in the Caribbean.
• Worked on preliminary outline for a partnership with Millennium Foundation to finance health projects in LAC.

• Advanced in the negotiation of the Framework Agreement with the European Commission (EC).
• Provided support to the negotiation for the signature of a Framework Agreement with the Government of Spain; as well as proposed Framework Agreements and similar instruments with several European countries (Austria, Finland, Germany, Norway, etc.).
• Initiated contacts to propose the IDB's participation in the EC Caribbean Infrastructure Trust Fund Investment Facility; and the Global Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Fund (GEEREF). GEEREF expressed interest in several IDB-led investment funds.
• Prepared a study on legal and fiscal treatment of philanthropy in Europe.
