MICI organizes the “Independent Accountability Mechanisms Workshop with Civil Society” in Guatemala

On June 29th, 2017 MICI in partnership with other independent accountability mechanisms, held a workshop with more than 50 representatives from civil society in Guatemala City

As part of its work to promote access, MICI organized an “Independent Accountability Mechanisms Workshop with Civil Society” in Guatemala City in partnership with the Inspection Panel (IP) from the World Bank, and the Social & Environmental Compliance Unit (SECU) from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) also helped with the organization of the event.

The workshop, which had the goal to share MICI’s mandate and the access procedures, had more than 50 representatives from organizations and communities from different regions of Guatemala. These representatives work on issues such as indigenous peoples, human rights, environment, youth, and gender.

MICI organizes at least two anual workshops in the region. If you are interested in participating in one of these sessions in the future, please contact the MICI team via the following email accessMICI@iadb.org
