On June 19, 2017 the Board of Executive Directors considered the Policy and Evaluation Committee (PEC) Chairperson’s Report on the Recommendation for conducting a Compliance Review and Terms of Reference regarding the “Reventazon Hydroelectric Power Project” (CR-L1049presented by MICI during a Policy and Evaluation Committee (PEC) session on May 23, 2017.

 

MICI recommended proceeding with a compliance review of the Bank’s operational policies OP-703 (Environment and Safeguards Compliance Policy) and OP-704 (Disaster Risk Management) in the context of the complaint submitted by the Requesters. However, based on the discussion during the Policy and Evaluation Committee (PEC) session, the Board of Executive Directors decided not to approve the Recommendation, and instructed MICI to close the case.

The “Recommendation for a Compliance Review and Terms of Reference for the Reventazon Hydroelectric Power Project” produced by MICI, as well as the PEC Chair Report, are public documents and can be accessed through the Public Registry.
