The Institute for the Integration of Latin America and the Caribbean (INTAL) is a unit of the IDB. Since its beginnings in 1965, INTAL has supported the Bank’s regional integration strategy. Throughout its history, it has been devoted to creating and disseminating knowledge on the benefits of integration processes. Since 2000, the Institute is also the Secretariat of IIRSA Technical Coordination Committee (CCT), thus contributing to physical integration initiatives in the region.

INTAL (VPS/INL) belongs to the Integration and Trade Sector of the Vice-Presidency for Sectors and Knowledge (VPS/INT).
